I’m a recent graduate with a BA in History from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, more commonly known as Virginia Tech. I’ve had many terrific professors here in the History Department, and have pursued my interest in Ancient and European History, falling in love with all things Roman along the way. I’ve also taken several Art History and Architecture courses, which adds a unique depth to historical study.
I started this blog for people like me, people who don’t want to miss a thing when they travel. A professor of mine said “You only see what you know” and for someone who travels with textbooks, that sentiment rang true. When traveling in a city like Rome, you come across centuries worth of history in a single glance. I hope this provides some historical foundation for your travels in Rome as well as tips and tidbits for planning your trip.
